A reliable system needs a solid foundation — and that includes security. What are the emerging trends?

 

In the final Patch Monday for 2009, Mark Goudie, who heads up the forensics practice for Verizon Business Asia-Pacific, has some alarming statistics. Amongst them, 91 per cent of the intrusions they detect seem to be connected to organised crime, and that networks are often breached for seven months before it's discovered.
